WELCOME TO CHASING GOLD
Chasing Gold is a non-profit organization, financially partnered with the Edward Charles Foundation, formed to provide aspiring Olympians the financial freedom to pursue their craft on a full-time basis. Founded by Matt Callahan, the husband of a beach volleyball player, and Travis Mewhirter, a professional beach volleyball player and the leading voice in beach volleyball media, Chasing Gold is aimed at maximizing the abilities and talents of United States athletes to perform at the peak of their abilities.
Currently, athletes must work side jobs, rely on part-time gigs to make rent, and struggle to carve out the time necessary for proper training, coaching, and recovery to perform at the peak of their talents. Chasing Gold is dedicated to alleviating the heavy mental toll that comes with the ultimate pursuit of an Olympic medal while living on minimum earnings. It's goal is provide the means to maximize talent, and bring more medals back to the United States.
